Located at the W. Trade/Rozzelles Ferry/Beatties Ford Rd./ W. 5th St. intersection, Five Points Plaza is at the heart of the Historic West End. It is located directly across the street from the main gates of Johnson C. Smith University and along the CityLynx Gold Line.

Five Points Plaza is open daily from 6am to 11pm. You may visit any time during these hours.
How do I get to Five Points Plaza?
The best way to visit Five Points Plaza is by taking the CityLynx Gold Line streetcar. The plaza is located in between the Bruns Avenue and Johnson C. Smith University stops. Click here to learn more.
Parking
Five Points Plaza does not have designated parking. While there are on-street parking spaces on adjacent streets, if you are attending an event at Five Points Plaza it is recommended that you park in a publicly accessible parking lot or garage and take the streetcar. Provided is a list of parking facilities on the CityLynx Gold Line.

The following are rules that must be followed by all visitors to Five Points Plaza.
The will be enforced by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
The following are not permitted:
- Smoking or drug use
- Outside alcohol
- Glass containers
- Littering
- Weapons or fireworks
- Panhandling or solicitation
- Entering the fountain
- Camping or sleeping
- Open flame and barbecue grills
- Feeding birds or other animals
- Amplified sound without a permit
- Generators or charging equipment without a permit
- Defacing property including driving stakes/poles into the ground or hanging signs without a permit
- Affixing anything to plaza property without a permit
- Commercial activity without a permit
- Performances without a permit
- Structures larger than 4’x4′ without a permit
- Bicycle riding and parking, skateboarding, or rollerblading
- Motorized vehicles

- Listen to music at the amphitheater
- Learn about history and the identity of the Historic West End – explore art!

- Move the tables and chairs to enjoy lunch with your friends

- Enjoy some pizza and frozen custard (please clean up your table)
- Listen to the breeze in the trees
- Play chess and other games
